While the internet is now something most of us use daily, it is often something we take for granted! It is almost hard to believe that the crossover from computer to mobile internet use only took root in as early as 2007 with the release of multiple smart phone options.

Here is a look at the social timeline beginning in 2007:

2007: Myspace was valued at $12 billion

2008: Facebook surpassed Myspace with more visits to their site than to Google

Mobile apps began appearing on a larger scale.

The hot new trend this year was hashtags! We found our favorites (#hugfest, #nicehashtag, #goodtobebad) just so happened to be better than those ads themselves. We counted 22… you?

While there were some amazing spots, Budweiser’s 'Puppy Love' and Hyundai’s '6th Sense' came out on top as the two crowd favorites.
